Green Policy

At Ultimate Outdoors we are committed to preserving our amazing planet so that ours and future generations may be able to continue to enjoy the great outdoors.

We are continually striving to reduce, re-use and recycle whenever possible, both in-house and alongside our suppliers and service companies, who themselves enforce excellent environmental policies.

Here's a list of all the things we do company-wide to help the environment:

• Donate 5% of all sales from our environmentally friendly Downtime range to the John Muir Trust, the leading wild land conservation charity in the UK.
• Use both sides of our paper then recycle it once it’s done with
• Keep printing to a minimum – get with the digital age people!
• Use re-sealable, biodegradable and/or recyclable mail bags for most deliveries
• Eek every last drop of ink and toner from printers, faxes and stationery
• Re-use packing materials such as cardboard, bubblewrap and jiffy bags
• Use recycled and recyclable materials when producing flyers and leaflets
• Separate card from plastic waste
• Use energy-saving light bulbs wherever possible and turn off lights when not in use
• Keep heating levels down in all of our shops and warehouses – wear another Polartec fleece!
• Encourage a staff lift-share and cycle to work scheme
• Promote UK-based, aviation fuel-free holidays in our magnificent national parks
