Lake District Bike and Hike Weekend

Ultimate Outdoors have teamed up with the British Heart Foundation and MyKitList.co.uk to support the Lake District Bike and Hike Weekend, running from Saturday 11 September 2010 to Sunday 12 September 2010.

Enjoy a scenic 8 mile hike in the heart of the Lakes on Saturday. Starting in Grasmere the circular route takes in the areas of Rydal including Rydal Mount, Wordsworth's home for over 30 years, Nab Cottage, home to the romantic poets De Quincey and Colridge, Rydal Water, Ambleside, Loughrigg Terrace with its stunning views and lakeside paths

Then what better way to end the weekend than with a challenging 31km (20 mile) on and off road bike ride. Taking in views of the Langdale Pikes, the Furness Fells and The Old Man of Coniston, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and scenic Lakeland villages on Sunday.
