Skipton is situated in the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, an ideal location for the best outdoors shop in the area.

Being a historic market town, Skipton sees many visitors and people from all around the country come to sample the joys of the dales, or on their way to the Lake District or Scotland.

Because of this our shop gets many customers who invariably leave satisfied with our expert advice. For first timers to the area we are also glad to impart any local knowledge about Yorkshire and the lakes that we have picked up from first hand experience.

The shop is an old barge warehouse which is full of character and coupled with the relaxed and helpful attitude of our staff makes ultimate outdoors in Skipton an enjoyable place to just come and have a look around.

The ground floor has a huge range of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, including base layers and fleeces. There is also the renowned boot room with expert boot fitting as standard.

Upstairs is the specialised climbing and camping room as well as a wide selection of outerwear.

There is lots to do around Skipton after you’ve kitted up in our shop:
